Destin, FL

Wow...What a great vacation our family had this past week! We just returned from the beach in Destin, FL. Derek, Mollie and I. The beach was absolutely breathtaking. I never really remember the water being so crystal clear and the sand so powdery white. I have ALWAYS loved, loved, loved the beach. When I think of vacation, one thing always comes to mind and that's, well, the BEACH!!

We left on Sunday (early AM) in hopes our little beach bum would sleep most of the way....but it was obvious that she was NOT interested in riding in the car for that long. Not this 3 year old anyway. She hates being confined to one area for ummmm, let's see, no longer that a minute!! The anticipation of visiting the beach had her way too excited to sleep. For the most part the ride still went as smooth as possible.

We arrived at our destination Sunday afternoon around 2:30. The place was beautiful. It exceeded our expectations!!

Monday we went to a Water Park for a while and then Mollie had enough, so we went back to our place and watched it rain. Yes, RAIN.....It rained most of the afternoon but it was beautiful the remainder of the week.

Mollie loved the beach and loved playing in the ocean. Its so wonderful to see her enjoy in GOD's beautiful creations!

The first day we went to the beach, we got to enjoy a "sneak peek" of the Dolphin's playing. Mollie was truly amazed by the little sea creatures! They were flipping and splashing and having a good ole' time!! I got a picture, but I really wish I could have gotten them in action!!

Needless to say, getting a pic of the three of us isn't that easy. I mean its do-able, but still complicated. For instance, the pics you see of Mollie having a dandy time in the ocean, minus the arm floats, is when I was doing this:

No one panic, we were still aware of her "testing the waters" and she was within reaching distance. She pretty much knew her limits and she would NEVER go to far....I don't think ;-)

Like I've said before she is a little dare devil and will try anything once!

The 1st day we went to the beach it was VERY hot, (exactly the way I LOVE it) but I have to be considerate of my little darling...or both for that matter, that they can't endure the heat as much as myself. We wised up the second trip to the beach and took an umbrella along with us. It kept us cool and everyone was happy!

I praise GOD for giving our family the opportunity to see all the beauties that he created on earth! We had a lovely vacation and we give so many thanks to our Lord above.
