The Day...

my baby girl went to preschool.

It was a rough day around here. I know nothing will be more beneficial than Maycie getting the social interaction, but it's just tough to release your babies out into the world.
I feel so very fortunate to have been able to have the schedule I have had and I'm so thrilled to begin a new journey, yet allowing me to continue to have an awesome schedule with my girls!
I've been working her up for a couple of weeks explaining the whole school thing!  She seemed thrilled and was pumped about carrying her backpack.
We did breakfast, loaded the car and headed out.  We dropped Mollie off at camp first and then we made the second stop...the one I have dreaded for weeks.  Hubs joined me just because we had more than  my arms could handle.  We went in, briefly explained a few things and basically threw her to the wild. And made our exit.
OH, it was painful.
My view from the window was something I can't get out of my head.  The terrified look of my sweet baby.  You never know what goes through those little minds.  I wanted to stay and stalk check on my girl but Derek insisted we leave.  When we hit the door I lost it.  I had a good healthy cry until about mid-morning and then it seemed to fade as the time got closer to picking her up.
I picked her up and the girl held my neck so tight!!  It was just what I needed.  She told everyone her goodbyes and seemed to be in great spirits.  She said she had fun so we'll see.
I know each day will get easier for the both of us, but right now I'm missing my baby.
She has went from newborn to toddler so so fast.
I cherish each moment I have with my girls and don't think I can EVER get enough of them.
I love 'em to the moom and back!!!!

Here's to a great year!

Summertime

So, I'm assuming I'm the only one that glances at my blog anymore!!! I feel like my life is crazy busy, and I never have time to blog, and I DO realize that it's been almost a year since I have blogged.
I do still read my favorite blogs daily. :)
However, I did want to post a few of my favorite summer photos of my kiddies!

Maycie-7 months

I FOUND THIS AND NEVER POSTED IT...

Sweet Maycie Karoline...You are 7 Months old!

This past month flew by...its been a crazy and BIG month for You!

Here's what you've been up to lately:
-We went to the doctor for a re-check on your ears. You were fighting sinus/allergies and you had a double ear infection. The ear infection was clear and you were feeling so much better. You were soooo sick and we had our first experience with the ugly breathing machine.
You lost some weight while you were sick to. You got down to 16 lbs 7 oz., but luckily when we went back to check your ears, you had gained back and weighed 17lbs 5 oz!!
I hate it more than ANYTHING when my babies are sick :(

-You are slowly moving into 9 month clothing!

-You are still in size 3 diapers!

-You still breastfeed and you have started eating Rice Cereal with fruit every morning for breakfast. I try and give you a veggie for dinner. You love veggies way more than fruit (totally opposite from sissy)

-You go to bed around 9 o'clock and I'm working on getting that earlier!

-You sleep through the night (as long as I'm there) and wake around 8 o'clock! You grin and move around a little and then you're ready for a morning nap which usually last around 30-45 minutes...sometimes longer.

-You can patty-cake, wave bye-bye and love giving kisses!

-You finally got your first tooth!

-You are sitting really well now are oh so close to crawling! If you fall over you can sit yourself back up :)

-You are very verbal. If you don't like something, you will let us know.

-You laugh so hard, it's the cutest thing.

-You're getting to the point where you're not so crazy about your swing.

I don't want you to grow up so fast, but I love the way your changing and doing things! Makes me so excited to see what the future holds. I can't wait til you and sissy can interact more.
I love you more than you will ever know!

Maycie-6 Months

Maycie-You are 6 Months old!

The days go by way too fast and my BABY is growing right before my very own eyes...

It's Bittersweet!

Here's what you've been up to lately:

-At your 6 month check up, you weighed 16 lbs 15 oz and you were 26 1/2 inches long!

-You wear 6 month clothing and I really need to get you in 9 months because your quickly out growing the others!

-You still wear size 3 diapers and you really go through them...Diapers AND wipes

-You are still Breastfeeding! You will not take a bottle. And you are not eating as much...

-You go to sleep around 9-10 pm at night and sleep all night. Sometimes you wake up when I get sissy ready for school but go back to sleep shortly after. You sleep until 9-10 am!

-I started giving you some baby food and you have liked everything I have given you! You have tried Pears, Applesauce, Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, and Bananas! Mollie wasn't a big baby food eater, she would rather have her mama's milk. :)

-You have tried White Grape Juice and Apple Juice and you don't care one way or the other!

-You can roll all over the place. Back to tummy and tummy to back!

-You get up on your knees and scoot to where you want to go, its so funny!

-You can sit for a few and then you crash!

-You love to Babble! You can say, "Da-Da-Da-Da" and "Ahhhhh"

-You can grab objects with both hands

-You will hold your hand in front of your face and really look it over!

    -Everything goes to your mouth

-You still have NO TEETH, I figured you would by now but NOTHING! You're drooling like crazy.

-You had to go on your first round of antibiotics :( You had a sinus infection and one of your ears were stopped up.

-You love your play mat and your swing...STILL! And you don't like to be held for too long!

-You love your sister and she loves to make you laugh. Its the sweetest ;) It soothes my soul!

I can't believe in 6 more months you will be 1 year old, it feels like the first 6 months flew by and I'm in no hurry at all to start planning your 1st birthday :/

You are such a JOY to our family and I'm so thankful GOD gave me the opportunity to be your mother!

I love you so much BABY GIRL!!!

    The Diet...Week 5

I'm loving the successful progress I'm making! I lost 3.2 lbs this week. This morning the rain was beating down and the thunder was rolling and you don't know how bad I wanted to pull the sheets over my head and go back to sleep. But I wanted to go to weigh in so bad! I got up and made my way to the shower and I'm so glad I did. Starting Weight 211.4 (2/19) Week 2: 207 (2/26) Week 3: 201.8 (3/12) Week 4: 199 (3/19) Week 5: 195.8 (3/26) Total: 15.6 I can't wait for next weeks weigh in and I'm looking so forward to hitting that 20 lb mark! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week :) I'm not sure why it won't allow me to put my weeks under each other...oh well!

    Mollie lost a TOOTH!!!

So happy for my BIG girl, but reality has set in and I'm slowly realizing that my baby is growing up too fast. I picked mollie up from school on Tuesday and noticed that her tooth looked funny. I asked her if she had lost a tooth and she said, "NO!" Well I said, "Let me see" It was soooo loose. I thought she might have fell and hit it on something to knock it loose but I confirmed with her teacher and they said no. Well, Mollie insisted that the tooth must come out. She said I can't eat! So I told her just to wiggle and twist it and she got it REALLY loose. When we got to Nana and Papa's, she let me pull it! No crying, NOTHING. I'm sure the next one will be a little different. With this being her first one, she experienced a little discomfort and confessed it hurt "Just a little bit Mommy!"
The tooth fairy visited and brought $5 and now she wants to be a tooth fairy when she grows up..HEHE :)
Mollie was so proud of her MILESTONE! She had to show off, and this baby thought her sissy was the stuff!!!
    I love my GIRLS!!!

    The Diet...Week 4

YAY!! I did it! Last week I had mentioned that MY goal for this week would be to meet my 5% goal and be under the 200 lb mark...well I met both of those and I was so proud of myself!
    Starting Weight 211.4 (2/19)
    Week 2: 207 (2/26)
    Week 3: 201.8 (3/12)
    Week 4: 199 (3/19)
    Total: 12.6
Saturday was exactly one month since I have started and I think I'm making some good progress!
I lost 2.8 this week and it really feels good!
I can really tell in my clothes that the weight is coming off. I can't wait until I have to buy new one's! Another thing I am looking forward to is hitting that 20 lb mark. I think it's downhill from here. Being under the 200 lb mark for me is so accomplishing!
    :)

    The Diet...Week 3

    One word...YIPEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
I just got back from my weekly meeting and I am so proud of myself. I did a little happy dance to my car!!
    Starting Weight: 211.4 (2/19/2011)
    Week 2: 207 (2/26/2011)
    Week 3: 201.8 (3/12/2011)
That's a total of 9.6 pounds and I'm so overjoyed!
I'm almost at my 5% goal which is 10.5 and that's MY GOAL for next week. I would also like to get under 200lbs for next week.
In today's meeting we talked about what tools keep us motivated and keep us on track.
    Mastering the Basics:
-Stay on Target: Stick to your daily PointsPlus Target
-Power Up: Surround yourself with healthy, filling food choices
-Treat Yourself: Use your weekly PointPlus Allowance to avoid feeling deprived
-Get Up & Go: Be active-whenever and however you can

The meetings give be so much motivation and its so good to hear every one's success stories.
I hope to have one soon!

Until next week's weigh in, thank you Weight Watchers for the encouragement!
    Have a nice weekend!

    The Diet...Week 2

Well, I'm out of town for weigh in-week 2, but I weighed Friday and I'm down some more. I don't really trust my scales, but I know I lost. I feel like I did anyways! So, I have to hold tight for another week and get my true weight. I'm excited, although DIETS & VACATIONS don't mix too well. I tried so very hard NOT to ruin what I have started.

Short and Sweet and patiently awaiting Saturday morning weigh in.

Did I mention how hard it is to stay on track when you're on vacation?!?!

Have a nice and healthly week :)

    Maycie-5 Months

    Maycie-You are 5 months old!
Life is so precious and goes by way too fast.
Before I know it you will be 5 years old :( and I'm in no hurry for that day!

Here's what you've been up to lately:
No check up this month, but we will go for your 6 month check-up.
I'm curious to see what you weigh, you work hard to keep that oh-so-sweet cuddly little bod up!
Not too many changes from last month, but there are a few.
You did move up to a size 3 in diapers ! Gotta make sure the tush in covered well!
You are still wearing 6 months in clothes, although the shirt above is 9 months!!!
You are still Breastfeeding and aren't so demanding as you once were. You eat about every 3 hours, give or take a few...I mainly feed you on demand, which works well for us :)
We did try some carrots and sweet potatoes and eh, you could take em or leave em.
I also tried juice once and you had the same reaction with it as you did the baby food.
    Nothing like your momma's milk!

You still love your bathes! Maybe you will be like me and love bathtime always. I love to relax in a warm bath! As I sit here typing about how much you love your baths, your silly sister is trying to talk herself out of a bath ;)
Still no teeth but your gums are so hard, I think it will be soon. I looked in Mollie's baby book and she cut her 1st tooth at 5 1/2 months. Not that that means anything, but just for the record!
You are loving your paci more and more everyday, which is kinda scary :/
You are still a good sleeper and you take about 2 good naps a day. You love sleeping late, but you love staying up late (not too late) too!
You still love your swing and you love your mat. You love rolling all around!
You have become a little talker! Sounds like you say things but maybe I'm jumping the gun a little, but my heavens, it sounds just like it :)
You are such a happy little girl and so content...ALWAYS! You just go with the flow.
I'm so thankful and BLESSED for my girls and I never imagined GOD would give me such a special gift as my girls.
I could say it a million times over, but I'm so thankful for my life.
Craziness, hectic, challenging, sometimes tough, unpredicted, amazing, lovely, wonderful, and blessed life.
I couldn't ask for anything more!

    The Diet...WEEK 1

As I sit here typing this post, I'm eating a bowl of Special K and having a mini celebration!!!
I just returned from my weigh in/weekly meeting and I'm so proud of myself. I lost 4.4 pounds! May not sound like a TON of weight but its a HUGE deal to me!
I'm not gonna lie, it has been hard. I'm hoping since I've got a week behind me, I will start kicking the cravings. I really haven't "craved" anything, I guess you could say it's more of a temptation...that I normally give in to. But, I didn't this week!
I would have something and think, "Man, a soda sure would be good with this right now!" But I didn't.
I stayed on track, and I couldn't be happier. With that being said, I'm closer to my goal weight.
I'm so happy for my blog right now!
    Here are my stats:
    Age: 29
    Height: 5-10
Starting Weight 2/19/2011: 211.4 LBS (YUCK)
    Week One 2/26/2011: -4.4 LBS=207 LBS
If that doesn't give me the incentive, nothing will!
    Happy Saturday :)

    Movies

It's taken some time to get this posted, but I knew for sure I still wanted to talk about my girls first time at the movies. We went to see TANGLED...such a cute little movie.
Yeah, she's 4 years old and just now going. Mollie is VERY active and I just knew she would never be still for a long period of time. She does watch movies, but we just stick to letting her watching in the comfort of her bedroom!! She did great though! It was an adventure, but it always is these days, and she already wants to go back. Movie's are gonna be special treats in our house because YIKES! Have y'all been to the movies lately? You may want to consider robbing a bank ahead of time...lol ;-) Oh well, it was totally worth it.
She had no idea what to expect! I knew she would love it and she did, she L.O.V.E.D it, and that makes it SO worth it!
Ignore her hair in the pictures below, she had been to a Princess Party (ADORABLE) and I hope to post about it soon!
I love treating my girl to new things.

    She ADORES Alanna!
I've already started saving for another girl's night out! HE HE!!!!
    :-)

    A Diet

Well, I have come to the conclusion I HAVE to change my diet lifestyle. I hate the word DIET. But when you go from eating everything you crave, desire, love, etc to cutting all that out, I consider it a HUGE diet, especially in the beginning. I want to blog about my experience just because I want to be held accountable. If I track my progress every week I think it will give me that extra push that I REALLY need right now. As most of you know I'm breastfeeding, and the weight just isn't falling off like I had hoped.
My biggest problem is just eating because something taste good or because I love it or just to eat it, just because. Another problem I have is I feel SO incredibly rushed when I eat that I can't enjoy it, so I'll eat again thinking okay, I'm gonna get to enjoy this time I eat...NOT. Its a NEVER. ENDING, vicious cycle and I'm so ready to do something about it.

I want to be healthy for MYSELF and my FAMILY. I feel so much better about ME when I'm healthy. I want to be pretty for ME! I want to quit feeling ashamed of myself and I know this is a PERFECT start to getting on track.

So weigh in is tomorrow and I will report my starting weight, and my goals.

Each week I will report how much I loose along with how I achieved it, etc.

Wish me luck because I know a tough road lies ahead, but the end will be totally worth it!

    Happy Heart Day

Happy Valentine's Day/Maycie's 1st Valentines Day!! (How Exciting)

These two girls are, can't you tell?! ;-)
It all started on Friday...with the Valentine Party at Preschool. I love when Mollie has parties at school. I love being all crafty and making treat bags and such. Makes me feel like I've accomplished something HUGE. It also makes me feel good to know I can squeeze in extra's. Although, there isn't time these days but I make time for my girls...ALWAYS! Did I mention my life has been one BUSY.CHAOTIC.HECTIC.MUMBLE.JUMBLE. here lately. Man, its been crazy to say the least. Mollie wore the cutest outfit for her Valentine's Party and I didn't get a full length picture :(

So look who is all alert for her 1st Valentine's Day picture! She just smiles all the time and I'm in love with those cheeks! We had a Special day and the girls makes it 10 times better! Mollie crashed before 7...didn't even get to look at her V-DAY goods from Nonnie, but they will be awaiting sleeping Beauty after she gets some MUCH.NEEDED. Beauty rest. She was a little on the cranky side and was really testing my ever so sentive mommy patients. Age 4 seems to be getting a bit tougher and I know it has some to do with these sweet cheeks below. GOD: PLEASE guide me...
Munchkin spotted some sweets in her goodie bag! And look what BABE got me! They were beautiful, and will DIE way too soon. Can't complain, Its the thought that counts and I absoultely adore my amazing, caring, husband!
I cooked a BIG meal tonight for him. Put a roast in the Crock Pot this morning and it cooked all day. Had Potatoes and carrots with it, mac n cheese, corn, greenbeans, cornbread and some nice brownies for dessert! Mollie wrote a sweet poem for her daddy and I didn't get a pic yet. It was so sweet, I told her what to right and she tried so hard! It said:
    Roses are Red
    Violets are Blue
We just wanted you to know Daddy,
    We Love you!
Awwww, and did I tell you she tried SO hard...(Note to self: Give regonition to Mol when she needs it the most) I love Mollie so Much!

Good Day And I LOVE my FAMILY!!! Hope you all got to spend it with the one's you LOVE. Tell someone you love them :)

    Loves and Hugs!
